yes, but the whole theory of evolution is proven by how cars like datsuns and their japanese counterparts pretty mu ch laid waste to the badly thought out overdesighned and under engineered English junk that used to pollute our roads, (at least here in NZ) and our airways. As much as it might vex some, we are NOT "God's" own personal antfarm. Science has proven this to be true time and time again. Pretty much every scientific discovery over the last 100 years has explained some phenomenon that had been previously chalked up to being "gods work".
If levey has been suspended for making that statement, He needs to be reinstated STAT. There are only 3 people who could have done this.
If it's some other mix up, for Fcuks sake fix it so we can stop wasting bandwidth talking this smack. And get on with what REALLY matters in this life, DATSUNS!!!!!!!!!!

A-Series, is one of the most common in the world. Launched in 1951 with the Austin A30
The A-Series design was licensed by Nissan of Japan, along with other Austin designs.

A14force is that evolution or just buying overdesighned and under engineered English junk :P

actually
datsun built morris and austins they then stopped that and started making there own vehcles
the datsun E series engine is praticaly the pommie a series
the J series is a slightly improved version of the E series
the A series was actually a full clean slate of engine design the only thing they really share in common is the are both ohv and 4 cyl 4 stroke piston motors and they share the same prefix

There's actually an old thread about this subject with several informative mentions from Dodgeman, DD, Dogdeman, Tyrie?

yes:
* First Datsun: 1931
* First Nissan-produced Austin: 1953

So the egg came first, not the chicken. Read more about it here: Our History -- see section "Nissan and Austin"
