Have any listers checked the differences between the three + variations in the A14 blocks??? Has anyone written down the differences?

I was told today that the N10 had an A14 and this block is very different to the sunny 310 A14 etc.
I am looking at doing up an A14 or A15 (Big Block for the sunny sports sedan (not the sunny L20B street car) as a test engine.

Can anyone shed some light on this.

I would like to take a look. Apparently the pushrod location holes are different and they have more stiffening ribs internally???????

I seem to rember noticing once that the pushrods were a different length and the fuel pump was a bit higher or lower in relation to the engine mount. On second thought it might have been the difference between A14 and A15, but then I could be wrong I usually am.

I drive 850 k's a week in my A14 N10 and am happy to help you guys investigate this. This motor is an A14 (S) and has the highest standard red line of any factory A series that I've seen. I don't have a standard A14 to compare to so dunno re: the extra reinforcing etc. I'm so impressed with this motor that I'm pulling it out when I finish here and taking it back to NZ with me for my coupes or Sunny.

I stil want to know why some think the a14 is a better race engine than the a15 apart from the longer a15 stroke which makes it rev less what else is the deal besides the a15 crank is cast???
Which if so a14 has steel crank???
