u shouldnt need a cat because both cars that the stock motor (your car) and the a15 (vanette/sunny) didnt have cats so u wont need one. about the bov, i dont know if u need it as u dont see big v8's with bov's, but my mates got a capa kit on his ss and it comes with a bosch bov in the package so maybe u do need it.

Blow off valves are only required where the pump is centrifugal. Positive displacement pumps (roots, vane, and lysholm screw) don't need them. It's debatable if even belt driven centrifugal pumps would require them.

it is a toyota S/C so i will not need it i figure that a blow off valve is there to stop compressor stall on a turbo and as this can not hapen on a belt driven turbine i figured they where not necessary

I dont know about the smaller blowers, but the bigger ones usually have a pressure release valve on the blower. Most people that build big blown engines, fit burst plates on their manifolds. They are only to prevent the blower flying off the engine as a result of a backfire. Like what has been stated, a blow off valve is debateable on a blower. Reason being that the blower makes boost in direct relation to engine rpm.

I haven't had it dyno'd yet. My first engine er, died. I have now built a pretty wild A15 to replace it. I've had my new engine up to 120mph. It has been leaning out at 6000. I'm currently in throws of upgrading the 32/36weber, to a 350cfm holley two barrel. As well as a new 3/8 fuel line, and tank pick up. All fed from a holley blue. I can't wait see how it goes. It's been driving me nuts that it cuts out before the end of the powerband. When I get it dyno'd, I'll be posting the results here for certain. And I'll be running it at the next street meet too.
