Can anyone tell me the weight of just the H165 diff head (not the complete axle assy). The wiki has the complete axle assy weight but not just the head.

What is a 4.8 worth? Are they hard to find? Have possibly found one but unsure on their value?
Realise they are more a competition ratio but if the price is right it's always good to have in the shed.

Yes I think they are difficult to find, but if you look hard enough you can find them. Whitesedan was looking for one for his race-car I think. But by the sounds of it you're hanging onto it.

Other ones to look out for are the H145 4.675 and the H150 3.7.

I think they came out of a C20 Vanette, so they aren't super hard to find. And as for value, maybe a couple of hundred? But it's hard to tell really.

Thanks. Yeah, value is in the eye of the beholder (or person who desperately wants it) really isn't it..
It's weighing up the convenience of knowing where this one is vs trying to find one at a later time when you want one..

That's about right. I sent one via aus.post, amd it was under their 20kg weight limit, that's including a kg or two of packaging/newspaper around it to protect it in transit.

also add the 3.9 H165 crown and pinion set to the rarer ones. I would like one of those, I could trade for a 4.1 but ask me in a few months when I bother to start working on the car

4.875 centres are priceless for some competition purposes.I am certain you could dispose of it very quickly if needed.
Cheers

littledarkone, 3.9 would have to be the most common ratio for a h165 along with the 4.11. most stanzas and bluebirds were 3.9
