Tail lights, tail lamps, or as Nissan calls them "rear combination lamps", combines the running lights, brake lamps (stop lights) and turn-signal lamps (blinkers). USA lights have no yellow section as it was forbidden by US law in the 1970s.

Pickup
Datsun 1200 (Pickup) has three-segment rear lamps:
- Bottom section is clear for backup lights
- Middle section is red for running lights
- Top section is for turn signals: Red for older ones, Yellow or newer models. Aftermarket clear lenses are available.
The lens frames were offered in various styles:
- 1971-1977: were originally silver
- 1978-1989: changed to black
- 1989-up: changed to x?
