I hear from a good source that the L28 weighs not much less than a ford 302 V8! not sure about hemi??

A ford 302 weighs 450 lbs, compared to a Chevrolet 302/350 at 500lbs. The (old) Chrysler hemi weighs over 600lbs.

Harry I hope you can get to Targa NZ - you'd have a bunch of support over there and it is a great event. Are they running a South Island one in 2004?

That seems to be the plan that Mike and his team are following.. For this year it will start in Wellington and go North so we see all the cars this time. Hopefully a good ex pat mate will be bringing his Ferrari over from Oz . He ran in his 1st Targa Tasmania this year and finished 21st I think. I reckon the Targa style rallys are the best value for money motorsport out there. I'm with Harry and believe a well prepped 1200 could really do well like the 1600 did in Tassie.

Can someone tell me the cost factor involved in entering Targa? I have been thinking for a while about building a car and entering. Also can someone tell me where i can get my hands on a set of Targa rules?

Depending on what class you run,historic,classic or modern,It can vary from $2500 to about $4500.Thats just your entry fee.Associated costs for the week depend on you.
