Bit of progress already, Engine and box is all ready to be pulled out and ive started painting all the little brakets and things.

Opinion time tho. Matt black or Gloss black engine bay? It did have this horrible black underbody #### on it but its all stained and flaked off so needs going over again. Engine is colour coded red/black/bare alloy.

Gloss black, if you must then satin black.

Nah the bloke i got that diff price off isnt in the trade anymore or something. All im gonna do is weld my 4.37 for some fun Unless something else comes up which is unlikely

Engine is out and bay stripped. Cheers KDOGG for the use of the engine crane.

So quick spray in the engine bay (deciding to wire wheel it back to metal or not, looks ####e) and put the donk back in with the 5spd.

Chris if you want to weld up a diff centre, I have a 1k one already welded up, but I want to keep the car a rolling concern. Ill swap out axles with you if you are keen.

OK a little update coz Reuben bumped it up and i remembered about it.

Engine bay is painted gloss black and looks a ####load better. Ive just been real busy drinking beer and doing donuts on the beach in the Jackaroo so little has been done.

Ill get the welder fixed soon too. Its just too hot anyway.

Ok after what? 6months after i pulled it apart im finnaly putting it back together... To sell it. Ive lost the Datsun bug completely. So should be back on the road by the end of the week. I scored the week off work so i should really get it done.

Its not quite finnished but its taking up all my spare time and im really getting into the rock crawling scene over here in WA.

i might be back in a Datto soon? I'll be after something oldchool cool as a daily soon maybe. No more projects or go fast stuff. Just something simple and reliable.
