Two lane blacktop is cool, a young hoon and his mechanic cruising around swapping tyres every time he has a dragrace. Love the fiberglass pannels and bonnet. Crude but it screams 'Don't fcuk with me!'

I forgor about Wraith. Was he back from the dead seeking revenge or was he an alien?/ Can't remember.

Blues brothers... Nice call. I can't believe I forgot about that. I have only seen it about 50 times. 'So is it the new Blues Mobile or what?... Fix the cigerette lighter.' Don't forget the backward flip on the bridge and the nazi's flying off the edge... Crack up!

American graffiti is awesome but I forgot about 'Dazed and Confused'. Simular style of movie based in the 70's and awesome cars too.

I would not call The Wraith a "good car movie". Interesting yes, but definitely a B-movie. They never did say what was driving the car, it was some big black lincoln-continental style heavily customized menacing machine.

Blues Bros: "Cop tires, cop engine, cop suspension..."

The Cars That Ate Paris

An Australian classic! as is Stone, though no cars...mostly Kawasaki Z1s

Vanishing Point is good...(frequently referred to in Death Proof)

Russ Meyers' Faster Pussycat! Kill Kill!

Stephen Kings' Christine and his other movie about possessed killer vehicles- Maximum Overdrive

Not a car movie, but I just love the Jaguar coupe/ hearse conversion in Harold and Maude, made me wonder if anyones thought of doing a Datto hearse? (might have to be a LWB tho)

I watched Stone for the first time about 3 months ago. Would have been pretty full on for it's day. There were alot of the same bikes from Mad Max 1 in it. The main guy who witnessed the murder was 'Toecutter' in Mad Max.

Kurt Russell in 'Used Cars'. That was one of my favorites for a while in my teens.

Has enyone else seen the origional Death Race 2000. Classic C grade movie. Right along side The Toxic Avenger.

anyone mentiond junkman yet? I think it was made buy the same bloke as the original gone in 60 second'swho was the stuntman that did most of the stunts and died in junkman or something like that!? ramble ramble

Yeah, Junkman was the sequel, and H.B Halicki did die during the shooting (he was the writer, director, producer and star of both films). For those interested in the trivia he was a millionaire toy importer (?) obsessed with cars, destroying a fair chunk of his private collection in both films. The original Gone in 60secs is the greatest car flick without a doubt!

Someone mentioned Ronin before though, top notch as well!
