yeah
a supercharger runs off the crank so it makes boost continuously, a turbo has to spool up (reach a certain RPM) before boost is accessible You watch 2 much mad max lol

some come with electric clutches that allow you to turn it on and off inside the cabin a la mad max, dunno how that'd go with carbs tho

mine ran reallycrap with the blower clutch disengaged when I had a weber. But since I've upgraded to a holley it runs okay with the blower not driving. I never bother running it disengaged though, the boost is just too much fun.

it's an S/C14 off a ijgze. I've killed a few motors, although they have mostly been destroyed by shortcomings in the tuning department. My last A15 was very reliable, but it gave up when I held it at top speed for a sustained period on a hot day. Plus I gave then engine death almost everytime I took it out. If I's been kinder too it, it would probably still be shining. The next engine that I'm about to build will be even more reliable, and powerful than any of my engines that have gone before.

yeh
I was looking at a sc13 w electric clutch for an L20B but I read that the sc12 and 13 dont like to be run continuously???? So you just needed a bigger carb to make up the diff between fuel needs on and off boost?? You can view topic.
