Don't get me wrong: I love the B310.

The definition of "classic" car depends on whom your are talking to, but a common definition is "30 years old". So under that definition the first year B310 is a classic, but not the square headlight model.

Give it time...and enjoy the ride.

You've got a good car there. I had a B310 with A14 & 5 speed. About 38 mpg at 80 mph with everything stock. Drove it 285,000 miles. Was still running good when I sold it.
I'll say the more stock you keep it the less trouble you will have. Could put in A15 engine. Would bolt right in. I have a 1989 Nissan Sentra with 1600cc, throttle body fuel injection and 5 speed. Is overhead cam with 3 valves per cylinder (2 intake, one exh). Very quick car, would run circles around any stock "A" series pushrod engine. Has 287,000 miles on it and got 50 mpg on a 600 mile trip a couple weeks ago. Might take some converting to get engine block to match up to older Datsun 5 speed. Would be a quick car and good mpg too.

Lol the DMV in Issaquah tried to set it up as a "Clasic" when I went to register it. Might do it before the year is up so I can run it with the original plates!

Think I will start with the basics, new plugs wires, oil/filter, Distributor cap. Give her a compression test and go from there. Exaust is a bit rusted out as well, gonna take a look tomorrow, 3 day weekend, YAY

I didn't know they had a DOL office in Issaquah. I keep driving up to Crossroads. Hmmm.

The good thing is that all USA B310s came with electronic ignition. So there are no points, in fact the spark plugs are probably fine, and the cap too. Inspect them if they look OK then they probably are. The plug wires are high quality and many original sets are still OK.

According the chassis plate, it is the FU model. This is the 47 MPG model with 5-speed. Wahoo!
