Hi converted
There is a label on the base of the seat that says it complies with ADR's 3/01 and 22/00 but it doesn't say anything about FIA approval. You could have a chat to the guys at www.onautos.com.au where I bought the seat from.

My ute is not my everyday car. I have an automatic Starlet to battle the traffic everyday with. Boring but easy to drive. I agree that the race seats are a pain for everyday use because there isn't much padding and they're not very easy to get into and out of.

Matty

Andrew,
I use a Sparco Sprint, which is pretty much the same as the Road seat you had. My choice came down mainly to budget and comfort at the time, because I was still doing the occasional bit of road driving in the car then, so the shell seats were out on both counts. If you drive on the road and want some comfort, stay clear of the fibreglass (or other) shell seats if think you need a kidney belt now! If you do want a shell seat, talk to Steve Drahiem first, but you have to be a skinny little bugger to fit into his - I know I cant! Hey, have you got those rear flares yet? What wheels are you going to run?

Thanks for the info L18 Im actually thinking now of getting the sparco road recovered with some more padding where It needs it. The seat isnt too bad. will work out cheaper than a new one
I got the rear flares off Steve at oran park last weekend. was a great two days caught up with a few mates. That wayne wakefeilds wagon is a beast won all 4 of his races closely followed bye rick shaw.
I sat the flares on the car I will need to fill two holes one on either side as my old flares sat a bit higher. Most of the rear wheel arch has been removed and rewelded to fit big tyres with the wider diff I was using. I have chosen the rim I will be using :) I sold My csa hornets so that has payed for one of my new rims 15x7 and 15x8 superlites in silver once thats out of the way ill be buying some tyres.
I have a panel beater mate coming around to help with the new tunnel fabrication and fixing up the cracks and bit of rust I found give me another 12 mnths and it should be close to going
cheers Andrew
