I have a set of s12+8 calipers for my Stanza struts and are now trying to work out the best rotor to use. Ihave spoken to a few members, searched the forum and just asking for further opinions.

U12 Pintarra DBA617 - Diameter 257 Height 49 Thickness 22
N14 Pulsar DBA 900 - Diameter 252 Height 45 Thickness 20 (Think this is what Tommoz used?)
CA s13 DBA 918 - Diameter 250 Height 49 Thickness 18 (Maybe to thin @ 18mm?)

Any thing else or is one of the above the best option.

Cheers and thanks to 1200 Rallycar, PIGDOG and Tommoz for help help thus far.

I can confirm the u12 rotor is best. 1200 rallycar intially put me onto them with your help re s12+8s

spoke to dba ( I own a auto store) regarding my conversion and he confirms also that u12 is the best option. It fits best in all dimensions other that hat size. You will have to mark and grind some meat off the larger piston bottom area. The hub outer is a good guide to how much because the rotor hub is the same circumference. I've got pics my phone but can't upload them for some reason? I'm having my rotors machined early next week so can post rest of progress then if you like

using U12 pintara discs you need to:

re-drill discs to 4x100mm to mount to hub
machine out centre of disc slightly
grind caliper to clear centre of hub
possibly grind caliper to fit under 13" rims (depends on exact rim)
you may also have to grind a little fat off the pad itself on the inside edge to clear the hub, cant remember but srb210 mentioned that

no spacers required, no changing to caliper mount just straight on to stanza mount
caliper mounts to the back side of the car (in relation to the strut)

i havent put a set together for two years, but have done it twice before, srb210 is in the process now

slotted U12 pintara discs wernt very expensive, cant rememeber exactly how much
you can order them as blanks so that when you re-drill them you dont have two sets of holes, though it can take 6mnths to get them this way as they make them specially for you when they do the next run of that disc

oh, and looking at the diameters posted, U12 would be much better as even with a U12 disc the outer 2-3mm of the pad doesnt touch the disc and essentially hangs over the top, so with the other discs listed there would be 7-10mm overhang of the pad to the disc i beleive

No pad overhang on mine dba say 1 or 2mm is acceptable. I originally tried the s12w caliper and it doesn't allow enough room for mods to fit rotor hat in. Also pads are to big and have about 5mm overhang .even if you grind pad bottom down top clearance happens due to pins to hold pads in.
I've taken heaps of pics so I can share the info next week if it's wanted.

Pretty sure won't have to grind bottom pad.

Oh and a need a right side s12+8 :)
