140 is just right with your injection by the sounds of it any smaller and you might as well keep your 70/30. Are you planning for a custom plenum/airbox?

I've got the 140 in my A15/ Dellortos. It's a street car and is surprisingly good with mid range torque.

Very happy with the cam, I wouldn't go smaller if I were building another motor

beautiful, well a 140 it is! i went down and spoke with clive cams, who used to be one of the brains behind wade and he will grind me up a 140 but with a lobe sep. of more like a 109 than the 106 they usually have to bring some extra low down drivability.

thanks all for your input!

Teh 140 was a pretty popular grind at one time for mini/bmc a series engines. there are those who will take exception to the 140, on the basis (as applied to minis) that it's got heaps fo duration (a good thing, and you definitely need a bit to get things moving in a higher rpm range) but that (relative to that much duration) the peak lift isn't earth shattering.

I'd make the point in response that for the street, less peak lift means the valvetrain will be under far less stress, slower opening and closing ramps, nice and 'considerate' to the valvetrain, which is a big deal. If it was just for competition use I'd argue the other way, but for this app - not a bad choice at all.

I will be keeping an eye out on this thread. Gonna need some info from you when you have tested your cam that you decide on Lagwagon.

104 lob sep
309 thou lift at lobe
Exh opens 84 deg closes 59
Inlet opens 56 deg closes 87
261 deg duration

so you think taking the lobe separation from 106 to 109 is a good move or leave as is?
