HOWDY PARTNER! i have an electronic ignition, its out an N13 pulsar. all you have to do is change over the bottom gear with a 1200 gear and then modify the base plate(advance and retard plate) and get a dizzy off a pulsar or bluebird and modifiy the wireing so that you can get rid of the ballast resister mainly the main ignition wires. i can give you a detailed description if you i want. Does any one disagree? Please send your critisims i like being critsized,Thats how you get thing right!well thats what i think any way!

Steveo I agree with everything you have said but one thing I would like to point out is when swapping the 1200 gear onto the bottom of the N13 distributor you actually have to drill a new hole in the N13 distributors shaft for the locating dowel of the 1200 gear. This is done so the shaft will be the correct length and so that there is no play in the distributor shaft.
( It's straight forward and easier to understand when everything is in front of you.)

Cheers Steve.

Yea I've done the pulsar conversion aswell and would recomend it, but............. please make sure you use the right coil for it.It must be high energy and the best is one of the pintara twin spark coils.I found out the hard way that new High energy coils(t shapes ones) are no more than paper weights, good old original datto gear wins again

Instead of searching for electronic ignition, try these searches:

electronic dizzy
electronic distributor
pertronix
