when you buy a dizz you will notice that there are two main wires, Black\white and blue,Quite simple really,b\w go to the positive(+) and blue goes to negitive(-) and what i did was connect an earth wire from the vacumm advance to the tappet cover. I use a bluebird coil or you can use an ET pulsar coil(i think?) any other questions? don't hesitate to ask. i forgot to mention drilling a hole for the gear,SORRY i'm getting a bit forgetful in my old age!

My old motor is an A12.I say that because now I'm fixing an A14.Well with my old motor i had problems with my ignition and i didn't know what to do.One day I saw a honda accord '81 and the distributor was the same,so I decide to take it.My engeneer told me that we had a problem with the shaft because it was longer and the gear was diferent, but he told me not to worry as we had my old distributor. So we took the old shaft and gear as it was and put it to the new distributor. Then we install the little box with all the wires and here we are without problems any more!!!

Chris is it Ok?
I hope it's the answer you want.

I will try to take a foto to show you

Pantel, my friend, thats EXACTLY what we want & i thank you.

Does the Honda engine have an identifying code. I do not know much about Honda's, but diferent makers used diferent engines in some cars for diferent markets around the world, Perhaps Honda did too.

The next time that someone on this site decides to mod a distributor. Can they please please please please please take pictures of each step and make up a website or word document with the pics in and each step?

Cos that would be super!
