Oil pressure problems

Hi there

I hope someone has got a suggestion for me. My 1400 has been rebuilt a while ago and been fine for a couple of months. Now is has started to make a noise on startup. I noticed that the oil pressure takes about
1-3 sec to come up and within that time it makes this noise. Sounds like bearings. But when the oil pressure is there it is normal. Cold startup 3.5 - 4 kPa and hot freeway running 4.5 -5 kPa The motor seized the other day as well (not while it was running, tried to start and was solid). Opened up, no piston seizure, just small marks on the mains and a little bit worse on the big ends. Put new bearings and it was alright but has now started again. Fitted another oil pump yesterday which is in very good condition and still the same. Please help. Rear rocker on rocker shaft is a bit tight, maybe that is making noise and bearings just a coincidence???????????
Thanks
Pierre

Sounds more like a blockage in the delivery (of oil) .
It sounds like a problem that wont go away without a full work over to find the source then fix it and subsequent damage.

This isn't one of those mix and match issues, with you not using the correct (narrowed) head/oil feed bolt in the centre of the head?

Is your A14 using all A14 parts, and the head bolts have gone back in the right places?
