Bart I like the pulley but I would like to use a cogged unit
if possible to take as much strain away as I can from the whole thing.
Ive been thinking of using a truck alternator with the rear airpump to run
a pulley from there to power the supercharger sitting on top of a modded
manifold similar to the original manifold but with more capacity.
This way the force on the alternator bearing is almost the same on both
sides. Especially if using cogged pulley rather than V or ribbed setups.
Just looking at the truck alternators with hydraulic lines makes me think
what about a hydraulic pressure driven pump to turn the supercharger?
or is the speed required too high? I can imagine a pressure line going to
the supercharger instead of a complex pulley system.
Can anyone think of why it would work?
Jmac,
Will LPG run hotter as a suck through and need water injection?
Im thinking of running an impco 200 with the 90 degree feed for
easier of packaging.
