Actually, this is an H89 head. So that may have been factory?
I've never really played with any of the early heads, (Except for my GX head, which had already been modified before I got it) so I'm not as familair with said mod as I should be.

there is a small hole drilled on an angle, so this late model head can go on an early block, so the oil can come out of the block, into the head stud hole..

chances are this was done by whoever fitted the larger valves. When I got it it had done much work. Two of the valve seats were cracked.

what are you exhaust valves 33mm?

Id like 38mm in with 35 exhaust for boost.

Marcus
Why is that head another victim of your surgery? :))
If I had my time again Id be a boiler maker tig welder
by trade and weld up material on that head to get the
valves parallel to the pistons and the ports will then
be very highly angled due to this.

This was just a test I did in my garage last night to help you guys with the valvesizes! The head is from the same engine that was cut into pieces, I have used it for machining valve cutout in the pistons. I am using 38/33 valves in my turbo engine but I also hava two N/A projectengines in my garage with different setups. (my garage is stuffed with A-engine parts)

What parts of my project are you interested in? I have done mods to every part of the car and I am never satisfied so the project goes on!
