Anyone know how to go about changing your profile name? I have had Datsa73 for years which means in so many words "That's a 1973"
Just want to change it to something new.

Unfortunately there is no feature that lets us change profile names. You can:
* Ask the webmaster if he can change it for you
* Keep using the same account
* Create a new account with new name

I advise against setting up a new account (even though I did years ago) as it will lead to us linking the thread where we were commenting on inactive users. Mmmmm, yes I think we let the forum software change sort all that stuff out. I asked PBFranco nicely

Don't change the name dude, everyone recognizes it. If you change it you basically start again. Or you are forever reminding people who you actually were or are.

Mine was the auto-select username given to me from bigpond (ISP) when I signed up with them four years ago. By jesus I regret it as a datsun1200.com username!

Just keep the same avatar, and ask One (or both) of the Branco brother very nicely if they'll change it for you. This was the very 1st forum I ever joined when I 1st discovered the internet. I would have chosen another name if I joined today.
