I'm slightly in love with this coupe

It's running 13x7J on the front, and 13x8J on the rear with 175/50/r13's all round.

My question to all of you,
1. How much do you think it's been lowered?
2. And how would one get this look?
3. And where would someone buy 175/50/r13's? nowhere seems to have them.

All opinions welcome!
J

1. Id say its about 40mm from the chassis rails to the ground
2. shortened 120y/1200 disc struts shortened with mk1 golf inserts and coilovers, in the rear reset rearranged leaf packs with lowering blocks
3. Hit up the uk for 175/50/13 as alot of the mini clubsand shops there sell them

My 1400ute had that look only better, I like 15" wheels with a 50 profile rubber.
I lowered it 130mm at the rear by removing the small 4th leave spring, I also fliped the second leave spring over to get it down to 80mm, I wanted it lower so I installed 2 50mm lowering bloks.
In front i had custom springs made with a 40mm drop, again I wanted it lower so I cut 2 turns of them, this gave me a drop of 80mm.

It looked awesome the rear wheels was inside the fenders so you could almost see nothing of the rubber on top, the front had the wheels rubbing on the fenders when you turn, my ute was looking Hot....big long turns oh man... roadholding... oh yea..

That is where the trubbel started, taking a sharp turn damaged the rubber and the fenders
The ride was hard, everything was shaking, getting loose
The sespension had to be fixed freequently
Tyrods, balljoints and sespention rubbers had to be replaced
I had to get the wheel alingment done just as often...

But I must say I was driving it everyday and the roads are BAD, I gave up that look and mad it a bit higher, the ride is now alot better and I don't need to get it fixed regularly

Just know why you want that look, and then Go for it

The problem I see in going lower in my sedan is the drive sharft getting to close to the under body, I,ve lowerd it about 80mm and I have 180mm from the bottom of the sill to the road but only 60mm drive sharft clearance....i,ve also lowered the engine 10mm, it corners really good

those wheels look to be at least 14's but yeh, 13's with low profile look awesome, i got my leaf springs reset 50mm lower and then half inch blocks with stanza struts upfront with skyline shocks and height adjustable sleeves put on. my problem is im bottoming out the front shocks and every now and then i bottom out the rear too.
these are 13's with formula ford fronts all round, they dont have normal tyre sizing but approx 2 inches profile? i dunno lol
so yeh, rear is alright, just cut down the bump stops (i just removed them lol) and make sure your struts get cut down enough, when i got mine done at datsport he'd never cut them down that much before and tried to talk me out of it, ended up still not being enough and the shocks are too big. bump stops also gone up front ;)
