I have been in talks with engineers lately, and because of how homo the NSW government is with modified cars it seems that i am going to get raped by the police if they even see my car on the road.. half the things on the car are un engineerable anyway..

So ive decided to bite the bullet and build the car to compete in ozmod and st289 classes, that means selling my ca setup and getting something competitive.

So up for sale i have the following..

- Good condition CA18DET Long engine, comp tested fine last year (cant remember the figures) but ill do it again soon, block painted black, rocker covers in 2 pack blue with -8An fittings welded on.
- Full cometic ca18 gasket kit, including headgasket
- Brand new ARP headstuds
- Full CA into 1200 wiring modified by the man Kev Rowley himself
- Custom Plenum Creations (CPC) plenum to suit CA into 1200 engine bay, to suit XF throttle body
- Custom steampipe highmount exhaust manifold, T3 flange and provision for external gate (to suit my turbo and gate)
- Good condition used Garrett GT3076R, .63Ar rear housing, no shaft play, impellers in good nick. with speedflow fittings
- Brand new 45mm Turbosmart external wastegate
- Jatco 4 speedautomatic gearbox, billet input and outputs shafts, upgraded clutches and servos, full manual valve body, transbrake, 3200rpm stall, Keas cast deep oil pan, complete unit and crossmember to bolt to CA into 1200.
- Aftermarket billet fuel rail, gold in colour, will modify for twin entry if required
- Maddat engine crossmember and mounts, freshly powdercoated black.
- fuel rail and turbo come with speedflow fittings
- Complete CA into 1200 alloy radiator, stainless piping and silicone hoses
- full 3" stainless side pipe and 2" screamer (will only fit the turbo/wastegate and manifold above ^)

The only things you will need is ECU, fuel system and coils, and a few odds and ends.. great package for someone that doesnt wanna chase parts around for that project.

Would rather sell as a package, if it doesnt sell in a few weeks ill split it up.

After $6000 for the lot, including the gearbox which is worth around $3k

Located near wagga wagga in NSW, willing to help with delivery.
reply here or call/sms 0406143946

Identical to this pic with a slightly different plenum

hahah ryan it has crossed my mind, but around $10k for a built 20b block put a stop to that!

old-tin- its not really the engine that is the problem, its got a full cage, fuel system in the boot, and will have tub work and the rails moved in the future.. bairly anything is standard any more... and 10 engineers in the last week seems to be enough for me, if i get an engineer in syd to do it, it has to go for the full EPA test.. i think not

yeh mate i know, ill still trailer it to some shows and datsun meets so it will still be around. After years of driving fast cars on the street ive sorta had enough, around 40 defects will get to you eventually.. my 02 courier tow car is as fast as ill be going on the street now lol..

But then again i do have my blue slip license *cough

doesnt need an epa test if you get an engineer that will say its got a standard ecu
ditch the cage for the engineering side of things and you would have no worries getting it done, worry about the chassis mods later
i got my ute engineered as having a standard ecu and i had a haltech e8 with 4 ls1 coils
just depends on who you go to

Cage is welded in, 6 point job.. would maybe pass as a 2 seater.. all of the engineers i talked to wouldnt pass it with aftermarket ecu, even so, when the chassis work is done its still highly defectable, and if i keep passing it ill be at risk of losing my rego licence.

can anyone help? where are the rules for OZMOD/ST289 cant find them online.

A friend is looking at buying a volvo rwd 360 coupe for peanuts and
use a powerboat volvo (ex- 2.3 litre) taken to 2.7 litres with boost.
Its a slant hemi engine that in Sweden some have cracked 900+hp with
and only 8 valve head. In puerto rico the 8v hemi 3tc is a beast.

I have them in my andra rule book, its fairly straight forward though.

Full bodied car, back half chassis mods aloud, must have original firewall, front suspension must fit in standard location, any trans, any engine, any diff, must use 28x9 inch tyre... and follow any other general regs

i like the volvo idea though lol
