lamb_daiquiri: let me assure you, converting a live axle to a IRS setup is one crap load of work, that I can promise you, but the end results is far more worth the effort.

Look in my project thread, I build my own SLA IRS setup for my 1200 and my brother MHDat did the E30 subframe swop, it is a lot of work. Luckily for us our regulations is not near as strict as in Aus. If you guys are interested in some pics of his install, shout and I'll upload.

I'm going to remake this with a tubular Xmember when the time comes
I still have to do axles , coilovers and mount moustache
This is essentially a mockup to see if its worth doing

Once its all in it will be ripped out to make properly
Xmember mounts to front spring eye point
So can can be returned to stock susp at any time

I really like the idea of mounting it to the stock mounting points so it can all be returned to stock. Good thinking, a whole subframe. Also puts the load where it was designed to go.

i put a 510 irs in a b210. alot of reinforcing was done. And the 510 is a bit wider, so some time and dedication was needed to fit the wheels i wanted without changing the original design of the rear wheel arches.
