well you know im getting some work done on my car when i havent been on this site for three days,

i've been slaving away at the ol twin turbo project again, im glad to report that it's almost done too!!!

all i need to do is get some fuel to prime the elec fuel pump before i mount it, link up the waste gate actuators so the turbos run in harmony and put a tap in so i can adjust them, and a few other little odds and ends,

then ill be towing it to my mechanic so he can run it on the dyno and all that biz, to get it running sweet as can be, and so i dont blow it up

one question though, im putting in a rising rate fuel reg (malpassi) and i cant be bothered seting up a return line just yet.., does it have to have a return line hooked up to release pressure and regulate the outlet properly or can it just be blocked off like im hoping to do?

cheers fella, i cant WAIT it's gonna tonk

oh yeah i have to paint up my new gaurds and put em on. Ive also decided to just put a lump in my bonnet, i need about 20mm extra to clear the box on top of the carby in just one small area and i think a scoop may attract undesired attention

ill have to go buy some batteries tommorow so i can get some update pics for you guys, but i can tell you it looks like a snake pit, probably worse that a12tt setup by the time i get finished, im looking at a14forces setup thinking oh how simple is that!

You need the return line set up for the stock pressure regulator to bleed of excess fuel pressure.

The Malpassi works by restricting the return line to increase pressure as boost increases .

yeah 1200rc exactly like Feral said, if you just block the return line the fuel pressure will be as much as the pump can make and this will be too much for the needle and seat.

looking good 1200RC.
yeah i rekon go without the bonnet scoop or whatever it is called as it will probably look not as good as it does with the original bonnet. but then again it may look awsome with it.
what i rekon would be cool is to put those things in the bonnet that that 1200 here in Adelaide had behind mukes car at the 1600 nationals.

Primo 1200RC, It warms the cockels of my heart to see another radical datto project so close to compleation. Throughout a long and Tiresome build it can be easy to take your eye off the prize, but I know EXACTLY how exciting it gets as compeatoin nears.
Good luck dude.

i have been following this project with great interest, it's great to see it so close.

personally, i would have gone with injection, however, horses for courses and i'm sure you have your reasons and it's a great build nonetheless.

kudos for sticking out the twin turbo idea
