I am thinking about building a A15 and running a super charger. I wonder how much hp a super charger would add to a worked A15 if it was done properly?

120y was designed for L-series and has an extra 150kg of strengthening to suit this... I say go for what it was built for!

What year model sedan? Easy to tell if bw or h145, are the diff pumpkin bolts on the gear box side of diff or is the a plate with 8 or so bolts on the back of diff housing facing the boot lid side? Plate at rear is bw and bolts on box side is h145.

I dont know exactly of the problems getting the ca in yet but theres heaps of info on it on ppl doing it. As far as ive worked out so far its basicly just a small trans tunnel mod for the shifter and a new cross member which maddat make. They can actually make everything ul need for the conversion which isnt much needed. Hardest bit will be wiring i think. The ca would be a far better motor and easy for bits for prob similar sorta money since even with the l series motor ul need 2 do brakes and driveline. My cars the same as urs so if u go that route we can work together and discuss problems through the build.

I disagree. he has access to a mild L20 cheap and no wiring mods needed really for L20b. rewire alt to bypass external regulator elec dizzy too.

Petrol will be same. No efi no messy computers or surge tanks. Heaps of parts for l series out there too.
Looks stock compared to CA too

CA have their place, I think its not needed for thus project.

I agree CAs have their place for easy hp but they arent the prettiest of engines if you care for that matter. For me they are a pretty ugly looking thing with their factory manifolding and separate square boxy rocker covers. Its like a square sharp edged engine in a coke bottle car that deserves more curves for its heart.

L20B all the way but with Z22E pistons and Z20E rods makes them rev like an L16.

Z22E rods 152.5mm pistons 32.1mm comp height 87mm diameter
Rod stroke ratio 1.773

L20B rods 145.9mm pistons 38.1mm comp height maybe 40grams more
Rod stroke ratio 1.697

The 2045cc is a common combo w/ L series crowd almost 100cc extra
