116 HP, $180 in wrecking yards here, including all needed to run it (ignition and EFI).

The GA16DE uses what looks like an actual bellhousing, 13 cm thick

One perhaps could use this with an adapter plate and some common 5-speed?

Use crank trigger ignition and no distributor since it will foul on the RWD firewall

A single Hitachi sidedraught off the front of the plenum. Block the back of the plenum. Hacksaw the front of the plenum and JB Weld a flat plate with the SU bolt pattern.

No computer, you can even connect the N-tech cam solenoid to a toggle switch.

How bout connecting the cam solenoid to a shift light set at the right rpm? I'd love to do this swap if I had time.

That might work. The MegaJolt crank-trigger box has output for it too.

Here's the manual transmission version. You could use the stock flywheel & clutch, stock starter too by using this bellhousing. A RWD transmission with a long enough input shaft might work with a spacer plate drilled for the tranmission bolt pattern.

Theres is a vanette in JP that has the ga16de with rwd transmission using rwd bell section on 71c series box.
Otherwise contact PJZ hes racing one soon and reckons
there is bugger all compared in weight between and A15
and the GA16de with huge gains in midrange after testing.
He thinks is going to be an excellent race engine and its
mated to one of his 63a boxes using wait for it!!!....
2 pack bond of somekind like Devcon after a cut and shut.

I race an N14 Pulsar with a GA16DE and they are a wonderful motor. Mine is due to come out for an SR20VE and I have been considering keeping the GA for my Lotus 7 project or in my 1200. If someone has the time to RWD these they won't be disappointed.

Anyone in Vic keen to give this a go has the opportunity to pick up pretty much all the parts for $100-

I only wish I had the time. Usually no one bids on this type of thing so I'd expect to pay the starting bid. Based on what they've said you'd likely get the computer as well since they're doing an engine conversion.

GA16de can make 118hp atw with bolt on mods which is equivalent to an SR20DE

A QC18DE can make 175hp atw with bolt ons including cams and 185hp with extrude honed manifold, bigger TB and air intake.

All at under 7500rpm mainly 7300rpm.

They are underrated engines with narrower heads for better valve angles and ports like late bike engines.

PJZ peter is campaigning this engine soon in SCCA and says the weight is equivalent to an A15 still remaining compact overall.

I wish I knew what transmission this guy was using in his roadster.

I got to see the car in person and took these pictures, but the owner was not near his car so I could not ask him. It was so low to the ground that I could not see under the car!

There's his custom adapter. There are more pictures of the car and the custom work here.

Im sure he used a 63a transmission from what I last read of it but just as easy to use a 71b or C box. Peter PJZ is campaigning this engine 1800cc version of the GA16DE in SCCA and mated it to a highly modified works 60 series box.
