It would take a good machine shop to over bore and sleeve the cylinders to get that larger of pistons in the A12 motor. The larger motor is more feasible if you can find one.

The largest piston that I have done is 100 over from datsun comp.. flat tops. they seem to work fine in my 1200 A12 motor john

You are right. I don't know what I was thinking. The A14 and A15 are only 3mm larger than the A12. That is about .145 Inch. That is feasible for most motors. I put a 1200 crank into an A14 and had to shave off .170 from the deck to bring the top down to the piston to get the same results. My ex-wife stole that one from me before I had the motor broken in. The pin location would prohibit use of A14 or A15 pistons unless different length rods were manufactured or the block deck shaved. Wrist pin diameter is larger on the A14 and 15's. It all sounds feasible to me. Mareo

I like the idea of 1500cc in an A12 block. Means you do not need the engineering certificate you would need if you were putting in an A15. Does anyone know the centre to centre length of an A10 connecting rod? Can A10 rods be bored out to take A15 piston pins? Barry
