Toyota Celica 1972 with a 2T-B engine, All Factory option, in 1984 completely stock form around 5000.00, I know sound crazy but that was on DR. and duty taxes were about 80 to 90%, even higher on luxury vehicle.

In 1986 I bought a 1969 Fiat 125. Factory: twin cam 1608cc, rev counter, 4 wheel disc brakes and the ability to hit 170kph. Brilliant handling for a 4 door sedan.

Been spoiled by Datsun/Nissan reliability and performance since then so no to buying the 125 back My next car was a Fiat 124 Sport which was an absolute rocketship. Would buy her back in a heart beat.

1200 coupe was my first car that I bought 10 years ago when I was 16. Ill never sell it and plan to return it back to completely stock one day when I'm old and retired

KE20 corolla, was smokey, rusty and guttless. I'm sure it's been crushed now. I still have a slight soft spot for that model but it's not really on my dream garage list.

Mine was a 1200 ute that dad bought new in 1980 he gave it to me in 1990, 5yrs later we put a reco a15 in it which cast 600 bucks back then.I drove it for 10yrs then sold it to a couple of mates one of which had a 2 door Cortina with a 302 Windsor in it.They sold it to a leading mechanic in Wollongong that turned it into a 13b,tubbed drag car.

1200 sedan. Started with extractors and exhaust. Ended up rebuilding the A12, got a little 25/65 cam grind, and a downdraught weber. 13x6 Cheviot Raiders and 185/60x13 tyres, twin front swaybars - a very 90s way of getting a budget handling upgrade. No-one made lowered springs for them back then. I loved that car, but it got written off.

179ci 3 speed on the tree.
four wheel drum brakes,
more rust than paint,
used more oil than petrol.

Got me to work for 2 years

All for $200

I've bought an EH special and
it's in the back of the shed under
a tarp waiting for time and money
to live again.

Mine was a bottom of the range one and only
had a door lock in the left hand front door.

Bit of a pain considered the car was Right
hand drive.

haha, at first I thought EH was a Falcon but couldn't find any, so i looked up GM EH. It doesn't look like any USA car, nor was the engine used in USA as far as I can tell ... but it does look GM-ish
