so what you're saying is that a small car with less power is better around corners but gets done in a straight line.

but what if it doesn't? more power lost. thats the whole story.... you did read it yeah

just to be contraversial...

this is like the argument in motocross - 'heavy 250cc four stroke' or 'light 125cc two stroke'. the 125 is great around corners, light and easy to point where you want it - or the 250 that is heavy(er), that will hold a little less speed round the corner, but flogs the 125 in a straight line... guess which ones are more popular AND win more often

starts with 2, ends with 0 and has 5 in the middle.

the answer is.... MORE POWER!

yes, but now go and get that 125, rip out the 125 engine, and stick the 250 engine in it. it now weighs a couple extra kg more, and has twice the power. now whats going to win???
ok, probably a bad example, but you get my point.

and with bikes, more often than not, its not the bike, its how you ride it.

That reminds me of the time me & a mate raced a wrx. my 1200 sedan wasted it once it went past 180kms cos the wrxs factory computor cut out. wereas the standard a12 apart from 40 dellortos lumpy cam & extractors keept excelerating. the nedal on the speedo went round & came up the other side!!!!

I disagree, The 250's win because they have a flatter torque where as the 125's
(2 strokes)are peaky. This means that they are harder to ride and more tiring.

Also the torque to weight ratio is more lobsidded. The 250's having a huge advantage.
Why on earth are 250's racing 125's anyway???????????????

As the saying goes....valves belong in toilets!!!

because in the rule book it says that if you stupid enough to go and try race a 4 stroke, you can have the advantage of twice the capacity because no 4 stroke of the same capacity will be able to keep up... but since the rule book was written, 4 stroke technology has advanced heaps and so your actually at an advantage.

i love thumpers, ride a yz400f myself. faster, more fun to ride, and the sound is just sooooooo much better

Yeah, I'm with you phunk....... That WRX must've had his brakes on.

Lemme tell you about the time I beat a top fuel drag car on my pushbike.........I'd eaten all these powerbars and...........
See how easy it is, we really should have a tall story contest, it'd be way funny.
