IVe just gone through this to determine what offset to run on the front of my race coupe.
I intend to run 225/50 tyres on a 15x7 rim.
My car is flared (50mm flares) guards are cut.
Struts are stanza cut down with either 1200 or stanza lower control arms. Hubs are stanza.
This does kick out the axle further out so keep that im mind.
The minimum Positive offset i can run is +12, anything less then that will stick out past the flares.
This offset give good clearance to coilover coils, my car will sit pretty much with the lower control arm flat so worst possible outwards movement (forgot to add this is with high camber levels of around 5 deg).
If you are going to run 195 or 205 tyres you might be able to run a lesser positive or even -ve offset.
My wheels are on order superlite GTR rims.
When the arive in a couple of weeks I can do a demo fit for you.

Use this to compare against a known set of wheels you already have:

http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html

It will tell you how much further out the rim will sit compared to what you already have.
