Probably orange peel.
Need to wet sand it with 2000 and 3000 grit sand paper.
Then polish etc.

That's basically what I've been told to do with mine, I'm sure a qualified painter will give you more details on the process.

what type of paint did you use 2K or acrylic?
Did you put a clear coat on it? If so it will need a colour sand, then cut and polish. As below fine grit paper first (Wet sand - 2000grit about right, make sure it is done wet though). Don't rub through the clear coat (if you do you will see the sand paper turn the base colour (clearcoat sands white), this is bad). After you wet sand then use a cut and polish.
I used (Acrylic paint) Autoglem 04B for the cut and super resin polish to finish. I did this with a buffing wheel (Big arse angle grinder with a polishing pad, variable speed, you need to keep the heat down so pretty slow speed). Be careful with the buffing wheel it cuts quickly. Be super carful on panel edges and any large change in contour it will catch (Taping the edges to stop this is sometimes a good idea).
Hope that helps, have a look at my build thread, in some early pages you can see the finish I got.

Enjoy.

Bryan

Is it orange peel or textured. If its textured almost like sand paper then you may have held the sprayer too far away and the paint was drying before hitting the car. In that case sand with 800 or 1200 to knock off all the rough bits and respray another coat or two over

If you did indeed use a 1k (acrylic) and a 2k clear you are f@cked and that paint will de-laminate in no time.

Assuming this isnt the case, wet sand the whole car with 1200 then 2000 then heavy cut with a machine buff

1k will always require sanding, you never get the full gloss straight off the gun

Yes, acrylic lacquer requires sanding and buffing but gives a very deep shine, so sometimes used on show cars. It was used on factory cars 60 years ago.

In the 1980s we used nothing but acrylic enamel, which comes out of the gun shiny and dries to high gloss, never had to buff anything. However if the sprayer is too far from the body, then it drys rough and needs sanding and re-spray. Been there, done that. Acrylic Enamel does not even need a clearcoat to look shiny, although it must be waxed yearly to keep from oxidizing/fading.

Top picture looks like the clear went on too dry or dryed before it hit the surface (Gun too far away), change in color half way over not good.
How many clear coats did you put on?
Is the bottom image where you have sanded it or just added water. Looks to me like the clear has peeled off in that second picture. If so something has gone wrong (hopefully not 2K clear on 1K base issue). Sanding cured paint shouldn't do that.
