I always had a turbo head, ported, bigger valves HD springs, copper head gasket and from Blow through to EFI with MT8 computer and elec dizzy. Now with this baby i have 1500 over size semi forged pistons, stage 2 turbo cam, bigger head studs, balanced bottom end and heavy duty clutch and pressure plate.
Time to run her in and on the dyno she goes. |

lowered yellow 2dr sedan on right - RC is approx at the centre of the axle. String line is distorted from straight by the axle housing.
lowered car's RC is approx 66mm below standard, approx 285mm from the gound with the 185/60 R14 tyre. |

'L' length between front and rear spring mounts on chassis is 1140mm.
3/8th L = 427.5mm
= approx 97mm from front eye longditudinally.
Approximate IC locations are at the end of the tape measure.
Stock blue coupe on left IC is approx 80mm higher than the lowered yellow 2dr sedan on right due to a combination of lower RC and decambered front half of leaf.
Effect of lowering is less bind/twist on the spring due to the IC being both closer to the spring eye and the axle's roll axis being closer to horizontal. |

just finished lowering it with 1200 strut tops, Kings lowered springs, and additional 3rd leaf (from another set of springs) flipped on the rear.
wheels are Enkei Easyriders 14x6 +8 and 14x6.5 +0, both with 15mm bolt-on spacers. |

1200 strut tops in 120Y lower the car by 30mm. 120Y's shock mount is 25mm under the strut tower, and the 1200's is 5mm above. Ride height changed exactly 30mm.
need to cut the centre hole out from 80mm to 94mm diametre.
1200 studs are 8mm versus 120Y's 10mm, so you need washers underneath the nuts. |

Note 'T' bolt for center of early A12 engine. This is a low-torque bolt. Better to use the GX '13' center bolt. |

The Tomei pistons on the side of head were designed for these valves so no mods to piston dish or custom pistons needed.Pistons will be cleaned and clearances checked.
