I saw a write up in Hot4s about this. It was actually made by Crane Cams. Sold for about $300 I think with all you need in the kit. They even tested the setup on a A12 1200 ute. Gave good results and seem pretty simple to setup, no new dizzy needed!

This is the N12 dizzy into the a series block modification theory and photo comparisons but duds like me need a few more pics on the drilling and cutting sections. Im a visual learner or still an early but hairless brained primate
http://jaw.iinet.net.au/cars/120y/dizzy.html

good luck!!

Hey but what would be better the Hall effect module type like the n12 pulsar or the Dick smith Jaycar box???? I ask cause I found a box yesterday for 12 bucks and I have the n12 one too.
Anyone know if the DS Jaycar one can use a crank angle sensor??? Id love to get rid of the sizzy for good and free up some friction or a couple of hp (or 1hp :))

I bought the jaycar kit and it didn't work. The people at jaycar were unable to help as they are only sales staff, not elec engineers.
I don't know what the jaycar sales staff in your area are like.
If the following place sells the kit, buy it from them, They can sort out most probs over the phone.

holy F%$#%#$^ing monkey poo
the other day I have the dizzy I found the other week in my bag when I go over to my mates place. (I just needed to get a hole drilled & tapped and it was ready to go in) we swing around to a mates place in the late arvo and are in there for 15 mins tops. meanwhile my bag is in the car.. well f#$#$#ing F#$%$ ME someone breaks into all the cars out the front of my mates place and guess what gets stolen? thats right! my ####ing bag with the dizzy I needed... and to add to that I had the vac advance off my A15 dizzy in there too, which means I will pretty much have to get BOTH dizzys AGAIN just to get back to where I was. and what does courtesy and consideration get you these days? SFA. I tell you what our indigenous friends wouldn't want to jack up about the stolen generation for much longer if they know whats good for them.

I hate a-holes who knock off stuff out of cars, especially when it's no good to them. If they steal my church money out of ashtray..I don't mind.. I don't go to church much anyway..So long as they don't smash a window to achieve the theft. I feel like leaving instructions on how to break into cars without damage...Maybe I should run night classes on it..I used to have dodgey locks in my first 1200, thanks to crooks jamming screwdrivers in my locks to break in..So I used to use packing tape to get into my car. It only ever took 5 or 10 seconds. 1200s are a bit too easy to break into. Especially 4 doors.

Chris.
