alot of people confuse sliding outta a corner with drifting aka hoping on the gas mid corner and going sideways is very easy doing a scando entry and balancing the car sideways befor the corner then hitting the apex is alot different
sounds a lot like rally.....
actually i've always thought the two are quite similar, although not many people would acknowledge that
to me its all about how easily a car changes direction more than anything, a short wheel base car will change direction quite easily, meaning sliding from side to side (scando) is quite easy, but maintaining one drift angle is difficult
long wheel base being the opposite, its hard to get it to change direction, so it holds a nice long drift angle, but going from opposite lock to opposite lock neatly is difficult
anyway... drifting is rallying on a circuit...i.e. without the trees and cliffs... i think good drifters should definitely try out rallying! the car control skills and driving methods are similar, just the consequences are different lol
