Ive heard the trx/bluebird centre will fit into the 1200 ute housing. has any one done the swap? Im looking for a ratio change. Also, do the 1200 ute axles fit the
trx centre? any info appreciated.

The Bluebird centre in question certainly does fit. That's what my diff is using.
Although there are only 2 ratios that I know of
95% came with 3.9 diff (no change)
5% came with a 3.7 diff (good for 1200 + CA18DET)
I'm running the 3.9, and I never ever use 1st gear, even on steep hills. The 3.7 is better
for general driving.

from memory, its the series 3 bluebird centre. grab a hold of the disc brakes as well coz the ybolt striaght up.
easy rear disc conversion.

the axles are the same size and spline as the bluebird

Cheers Chris and Justin for the info. Even 3.9 would be an improvement over the 4.11s the ute has at the moment. At 110kmh its doing pretty close to 4 grand on the tacho. I
might keep the 4.11s for hill climbs.

thanks from Mark

Try www.datrats.com.au
I know they are not in WA, but they do have 5 speeds, and they will
ship them to you.
Have fun
