Here I made the collector from 32mm inside dia. steampipe. I still have to add the dumpvalve piping to it. Not very simetrical, but the best I could do with a hacksaw and arcwelder. I'm only arcwelding the insides, and also only tack welding to minimise the heat, the outsides I'll have seamwelded with CO2 or TIG.

The distributor cap misses the turbo, turned to both extremes of adjustment. Turbo specs Turbine T3 49.5mm .48 A/R and Compressor T4 Stage 2 58.16mm .50 A/R. More info can be found on http://www.masterpower.com.br/, browse for the automotive turbos under products and it's the very first one in the list. Part no. 810001. It's a bunch of italian guys that opened the factory in Brazil. The machine qquality on these parts are extremely neat, and none of the people I know use these turbo's ever had problems with them...yet...

That wasn't going to work, so I made up a bracket the bolted to the farside tappet cover and rested on the nearside. I welded it to the turbo outlet flange I had cut out previously, and bolted the turbo onto this lot.

Just to document the conversion completely. The RWD waterpump has this outlet on the back, which is originally used for the heater. We wont be having none of that, so it'll connect up to the VW waterbottle bottom outlet. I should mention that the original Toyota has +/-5 liters of water in the cooling system. Mine now adds up to 1.5l radiator + 1.5l waterbottle, and I don't know how much the block holds, but it should get to 5 liters. the radiator is quite efficient and I'm using a huge electric fan, so it should keep cool.

Here you can see that the VW waterbottle fits the Datsun contours very well. This adds about 1.5 liters of water to the system. The connections will work well with the radiator of the VW and the heater outlet of the RWD waterpump.

Went to repco for a gearbox mount knowing they'd say they didn't have one. asked if he could have a look out the back for a similar one. he came back in about 2 minutes with this one. nearly identical, except it doesn't have the bolts out the back to mount the exhaust on. All for the price tag of $41!
