Good to hear some of the back story from guys that know the history of the truck.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this kit finished on a coupe. It should work well with the body style.

What's the finished name going to be... Hakoūpe?

Thanks for the links flatto

yeh sucks how on jay lenos show there is no mention of 09 racing.
It comes out as if he did all the custom work etc...

im also awaiting for a coupe to be done.
Would also look good on a wagon.
Would be interesting to see it on a sedan with hakosuka gtr rear tail lights.

In my opinion, the ute is the only body style worth converting.. I don't see the point in a half-C10, half VB110 or KB110. There's already a C10 Wagon, Coupe and Sedan.

Sure are. Any ute with the hakotora body kit is skyrocketing in value as we speak

25 years ago saw a 620 ute with a mercedes front end very well done
and in a Japanese car show and it looked factory and got me thinking..
So my take is similar to the hakotora effort but period, cheap & easy.

The 260c grille can easily be grafted cut down centre sides with the
outer twin light sections to cover cut ans shut with outer surrounds.

Side indicators are also super cool, Ive have some of these bits ready
for about 4 years now in the hope 1 day I can do up a LWB truck.
However I should have bought the front and back bumpers as well to
cut and shut re-chrome as they are more quality items that would look
insane with a front lip, flares with stainless bolts and washers

eg. Sunny GuroTora (gloria + Truck in jp) guroria toraku

So if anyone wants to go ahead make your own GuroTora as I have no time anymore :(

I cant really get my head around this SR20 ute.. as others have said he makes out he has fabricated everything in the vechile but he uses maddat products.. no mention of them.. he posted on his Insta he had been offered 75,000 USD for the ute.. the car is still on leaf springs.. its cool but there is alot left to the imagination.

Some stuff i have read it even said the front end is carbon fibre.. the 09 racing kit is fibreglass ( i know,i have one ) so unless he has made new moulds and re-done in carbon... nice ute but well un-engineered for my liking.
