I have had great success using top and bottom tanks (the plumbing is in the right place) from a holden gemini and had a 3 core, core fitted. The standard 2 core works quite will though.

which engine are you running?
have you replaced the thermostat?
made sure that there isn't any trash blocking the radiator?
had your radiator cleaned lately?
checked for a blown head gasket?
made sure that the coolant is circulating?
for what it's worth, a B210/120Y should work if you cut the core support, also another good choice would be one from a sentra/sunny with an SR20DE
sorry 'bout all the questions, thought I was teaching again

unless you had it bored too much, (read that more than 0.080) the original radiator should be addiquite for your needs, could be that it needs to be rodded.
that is taking the tanks off both ends and running a rod through ecah tube in the core
also, I have seen some water pumps where the impeller has come off, or rusted off and look as though it was fine, that's why I suggest you check for circulation

The Nissan N13 FWD Pulsar radiator fits (with new top mount brackets), but you may need to move the front bumper bolt on the bracket, or mount the radiator higher. I'd look at using a clean 1200 or 120Y radiator first, check that your thermostat isn't stuck closed. It shouldn't overheat, unless you are in a burnout competition.

I use the N13 Pulsar Radiator on my CA18DET.

Use a 120Y/B210 radiator. Some years require no cutting at all ... just bolt it in, it's a little wider.

We recently fitted a radiator off a honda prelude. Nice and wide and not very deep. And it slotted nicely under the radiator support panel. Looked like it had been made for the job.

I would not go down the modified route for a 1200 radiator behind an A series. I had a standard size 1200 radiator with a 3 row heavy duty unit fitted and stock engine fan behind my fully race prepared A14. It saw a lot of abuse including the ocasional burnout competition. In canbera 4cyl and rota nats it was warm and went for around 3 minutes at 7000+rpm didnt even look like getting hot (around 94 degrees it got to) also did a lot of town driving aswell as some track work never had a problem with it I think from memory cost me around $250 dollars and lasted quite a few years behind the Aseries
cheers andrew
