B110 was fitted with seat belts. Belts differ by country. Two-point or three-point (with shoulder strap) belts were fitted.

The two front seat belts are of a three point type consisting of lap and shoulder belts. The two rear seat belts are of a two-point type.

Australia has ADRs to cover the installation of safety belts. This means starting with 1969 models, you cannot replace bad used belts with good used belts.

Get new belts from:

Rare Spares
Generic seat belts, Repco, etc.
Klippan AU$85 and AU$120
- 1512 (retractable to suit 1200)
- K7099 (150mm drop links to suit 1200)
- K4264 - designed for 73 Holden, but fit 1200 well enough

The Klippan retractable units are compact and won't foul on most seats.

Variations

Early USA models came with either 2-point (lap-belt only) or 3-point (lap + shoulder) belts. Both front and rear belts are standard equipment.

* All 1972 models use 3-point belts
* From 0172, retractor system was used front and rear
* Rear set had 2-point belts
* Rear Optional was 3-point belts (not available with retractor type)

Seat Belt Warning System

USA models have a warning system. If the seat is occupied, the weight switch sounds a buzzer unless the belt is fastened. For details, see Seat Belt Warning System.

The key to a great seat belt swap for B110 is finding a low profile rectractor that fits below the seat.

Late B210

1978 B210 (USA) dual-retractor design 3-point belt. It bolts to stock B110 bolt holes.

Lower retractor blocks seat from fully moving back
B210 Belt buckle is modern semi-rigid design that works stock B110 belts. But it is on the short side for B110.

1977 Datsun 620 pickup is a one-piece shoulder & seat belt, that bolts to stock B110 mount holes.

Works like a modern belt, very nice
Belt buckle is bit long. But works.
Rectractor blocks seat from moving fully back. But has unique swing design so fits better than Late B210 belts.

These retractors bolt to the B-pillar and should fit B110 sedan, coupe and van -- although it may limit seat travel. With 2-door models it may interfere slightly with rear-seat access.
