| See what happens to crappy brake shoes when you go for a quick private cruise up a big mountain in a spirited manner and come down the same way. The brake lining was only bonded and cooked the bonding resin and the shoe falls off!!!!! Damn thats not nice at interesting speeeds down hill into a very tight right!!! |

gave it a clean :) this is a up to date pic...
in 3 weeks i get my fully rebuilt and balanced a14, with A12gx head fully ported and flowed and new seals etc, with a Dakin clutch. then i get a A14 5speed 60 series box few weeks after that :) |

I'm helping a friend of mine build this 1600 (510) for Classic Adelaide (hopefully next year). Cage has just been done, and as you can see is pretty extensive. and he wants me to drive it for him in Adelaide :)
I'll be getting the same guy to do a cage for my 1200 at the end of the year - I'd love to do Targa NZ in my 1200 (their rules allow alot more freedoms than the other Classic Targa Rallies that my 1200 is not eligible for) |

Fiat 600d custom head and sump abarth.
Abarth was a famous italian motorcycle tuner racer who loved small cars. He didnt get around to the 70s datsuns cause he retired then but you should see some of his stuff, It was the inspiration to the japanese racing industry. He could have made an a-series produce 250hp NA. He was the first to design a 16v head for the famous engine used on the fastest datsun of all the Rigoli 1200 ute. Lancia liscensed his design from the 60s to be used for the Lancia intregale 5 time rallye champion in the 80s. |

1969 : The first generation Fairlady "Z" was introduced. It featured a long nose and a short rear deck. The Fairlady Z was offered with two type engines : the L20 is a 1998cc L-6 OHC engine producing 130 horsepower and maximum speed of 85km/h, the S20 1989cc L-6 DOHC engine produced 160horsepower and maximum speed of 210km/h.
The S20 engine installed in the "Z432" was a L-6 DOHC, four valve per cylinder engine breathing through Solex carburetors. It produced 160 horsepower and 18.0kg of torque. It had a maximum speed of 210km/h. The "Z432-R" was later introduced which had lighter body. It was equipped with FRP bucket seats with a four point safety harness, a rear spoiler, a FRP under diffuser, acrylic windows, a FRP hood, a 100 liter fuel tank, and an oil cooler. The air cleaner, a wind washer, heater, center console, a radio, a clock, and glove box lid were removed for weight savings. The body panels were also thinner at 0.6mm to save weight.

| Heres one for you all,,,, stock datsun Sunny speedo drive in the 180sx gearbox....fits straight in I am so glad I didn't have to hunt for another speedo drive.. I think Nissan Bluebird ca18 gearbox can be used...Now I hope I don't have trouble without the speed sensor but so far I haven't. |
